Persian and Hand-Knotted
Hand-knotted rugs often use vegetable dyes that migrate once they get wet. These are cleaned slowly, colour-tested first, and dried flat under controlled conditions.
Silk and Fine Weaves
Silk and very fine weaves are the most delicate pieces we handle. They get a low-pH solution and no agitation of the pile at all.
Natural Fibre and Flatweave
Jute, sisal, cotton and flatwoven kilims behave nothing like wool. Most cannot be wet cleaned at all, so they are dry cleaned or spot treated instead.
